Farm & Table Chefs Taste Challenge: Battle of the Gulf
NEW ORLEANS – Now in its 4th year, the Chefs Taste Challenge (CTC) will heat up this summer by enhancing this annual competition to a sizzling showdown of the region’s best chefs.
Chefs from the Gulf Coast are invited to apply today for a chance to battle it out during this unique event taking place September 7, 2018 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Join us for the Chefs Taste Challenge!
The 2018 event will feature a face-off between the best farm to table chefs in New Orleans versus the best farm to table chefs in the Gulf Coast region. The Gulf Coast teams may include the following states: AL, FL, LA, MS, and TX. All culinary teams will compete to create the best dish that utilizes farm-fresh items from a pantry of pre-selected ingredients. Items stocked in the pantry will be representative of ingredients that are in-season in various regions at the time of the competition.
How to Apply: Interested chef participants should refer to the CTC website at http://chefstastechallenge.com/competition/ for event rules and chef application process. Applications will only be accepted through online submission.
The deadline for applications to be submitted online is June 15, 2018.
The Chefs Taste Challenge is held in conjunction with Farm & Table NOLA, taking place September 7 – 9, 2018 at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The fourth annual Farm and Table Chefs Taste Challenge is a fun, fresh take on a food competition aimed at broadening awareness for the use of fresh, healthy, sustainable ingredients in preparing food. This event will provide a platform to feature ten of America’s best farm to table chefs from across the South. The CTC is held in conjunction with the Farm and Table NOLA. Farm and Table NOLA explores the cultivation, distribution and consumption of food and drink sourced locally to globally.
